[2017-2024] Boulder, CO.
After traveling to Colorado multiple times a year for work, I
fell in love with the area. I found a home near Boulder to balance work and play. Then I
met a community of rock climbers, and through them, found my partner.
We pursued pure adventure for years in Colorado and called it home. We miss it dearly.
Life in the Rockies
A snowy day on Trail Ridge Road. Estes Park, Colorado.
We got animals!
As is customary when living to Colorado, we got pets. Near the beginning of Covid, Ann wanted a cat. So we got Oscar. Oscar used to be a stray living in a cat colony, and he still pines for the outdoors.
Coaxing Oscar out of the bushes. We hesitate to let him "free-range" in our neighborhood, so he's relegated to being tied up in our front or back yard, and taking one of us for an evening stroll every day.
After a couple years passed, my desire was growing for having a dog-companion, like I had growing up. In fall of '23, my partner and I went to a local snowy farmers market event called 'Lafayette Fall Fest'. They had a puppy adoption event going on, and we found this adorable short haired girl there shivering. We named her Bowie and she goes on all sorts of big adventures with us!
Smooches for the Camera! King Lake with the Continental Divide in the Background. For the first six months or so, Bowie and Oscar tolerated each other. We hope one day they'll feel like companions.
